The front door keeps your site's images, styles, scripts, fonts, sound and video in its cache, so most visits never reach your site at all.

Files are kept for as long as your max-age says, an hour when it says nothing, and never more than a day.
Only what's safe
Only whole, public answers are kept: nothing sent to a logged-in visitor, and nothing marked no-store or private.
Fresh on every deploy
Each deploy and rollback clears the cache, and so does Clear the cache on the app's page.

The new version starts beside the old one, and visitors switch once it answers. A build that fails changes nothing.

A small web server serving files uses very little. Say it holds 0.02 GB of memory and 0.5% of a processor, awake all month. You pay for that use, hour by hour, from your wallet.
