Terms of service
DraftIn short: The agreement between you and the company that runs Tanzahost (its details are not set up yet) when you use Tanzahost: your account, paying from your wallet, what you may host, and what each of us is responsible for.
This is our draft, written from what Tanzahost really does. It isn't in force yet: it takes effect once our lawyer has approved it, and we'll show the date here.
Who we are
Tanzahost is a hosting platform run by the company that runs Tanzahost (its details are not set up yet), (not set up yet) ("we", "us"). These terms are the agreement between us and the person or business that opens an account ("you").
By creating an account, or by continuing after we tell you the terms changed, you accept these terms, the privacy policy and the acceptable use policy. If you accept them for a business, you confirm you may do so for it.
Your account
You need a working email address and must be old enough to make a contract where you live (in most countries, 18).
Keep your login safe. Use a passkey or a long password, and turn on a second step. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do.
Tell us at once at support@tanzahost.com if you think someone else got into your account.
The details you give us must be true, and you keep them up to date in your profile. Domain owner details must be true too, because domain registries require it.
What we provide
We run your apps, sites and databases in the location you choose, give them addresses, certificates and DNS, keep backups, and show you their logs and numbers.
Sali, our assistant, helps with support for free. Sali Pro does paid work, such as finding the cause of a bug, under the terms for paid AI work.
What we promise about uptime, data loss and support times is in the uptime and support policy. Apart from that promise, the service is provided as it is, and we can't promise it will never stop or never lose anything. Keep your own copy of anything you can't lose: you can export your code, databases, DNS records and backups at any time.
We improve the platform all the time. When we remove something you use, we tell you at least 30 days before, unless the law or security makes that impossible.
Paying
Tanzahost is prepaid. You top up your wallet by card, and we take what your apps, databases, domains and other services use, by the hour, at the prices on our pricing page when they're used. Paid AI work is charged when each answer finishes.
Prices include the tax your country's prices show. Every top-up gets a receipt.
When the balance runs out, you have a short grace period. After it, your apps stop, nothing more is charged, and your data is kept for 30 days, with reminders a week and a day before it's deleted. Everything restarts once you top up.
You can set a monthly spending cap. We never charge more than your wallet holds plus the small grace allowed.
Refunds follow the refund policy. If you dispute a payment with your bank instead of writing to us, we freeze the account until the dispute is settled.
We may change prices. A new price applies from the date we announce, at least 30 days after we email you, and never to hours already used.
What you host
Your code, sites, databases and files stay yours. You give us only the rights we need to host, copy (for backups), protect and show them as you ask.
You are responsible for what you host and for having the right to host it, including your visitors' personal data. For personal data you handle as a business, our data processing agreement applies.
What you may not host or do is in the acceptable use policy. We scan public sites automatically for phishing, malware and abuse.
When we may stop a service
We may pause an app, a site or an account when it breaks the acceptable use policy, puts other customers or our platform at risk, when a court or authority orders it, or when payment fails or is disputed.
We tell you why, in plain words, and what to do, unless the law forbids it or there's an urgent danger, such as a phishing page or an attack in progress. You can ask a person to review the decision.
Closing your account
You can close your account at any time in its settings. Your projects are removed at once, and your personal details are erased 30 days later, except what the law makes us keep, such as receipts. Before closing, download anything you want to keep.
We may close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, after telling you, and refund unspent paid money as the refund policy says, unless the money came from fraud.
Responsibility
Nothing in these terms limits what the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as responsibility for fraud, or a consumer's rights in their own country.
Otherwise, we are not responsible for lost profits, lost business or indirect losses. Our total responsibility in any 12 months is at most what you paid us in those 12 months.
You will cover our costs if someone claims against us because of what you host or how you use the service, against the law or these terms.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, we email you at least 30 days before, and you accept the new version at your next login. If you don't agree, you may close your account before the change and get your unspent paid money back. Small fixes that don't change your rights take effect at once.
Law and disputes
These terms follow the laws of the country where the company that runs Tanzahost (its details are not set up yet) is registered. Write to us first: most problems are solved by a person in a few days. Courts of that country decide what we can't settle, unless your own country's law gives you the right to go to your local court.
