PHP versions. Which ones are still safe?
Every PHP version since 7.0: when it came out, until when it gets bug fixes, and until when it gets security fixes. After that, nobody fixes its holes.

Move before the end
An ended version still runs, but new holes in it are never fixed. Plan the move a few months before.
Try it on a copy first
Run your app on the new version in a staging copy, fix what breaks, then switch.
Choose per app
On Tanzahost, each app and site picks its own PHP version, and changes it in its settings.
