Starters
Start from our Laravel, Next.js or static starter in the dashboard, or the framework's own way, with the few lines that make it deploy the first time.
Updated 17 Oct 2026
The quickest start is one of our own starters, in the dashboard: a Laravel app, a Next.js site or a static site, live on its free address in a few minutes, with no code of your own yet. If you have code already, or want to begin with the framework's own installer, each page below shows exactly what to add so it deploys on Tanzahost the first time.
Start from our starter
| Starter | What it is |
|---|---|
| Laravel | The official Laravel 13 skeleton, ready for a database. Its key and settings are made for you, so it runs before you add one. |
| Next.js | A Next.js 16 site, without TypeScript, that builds and runs on Node.js. |
| Static site | One HTML page and its CSS, served as they are. |
On a new account, the dashboard's home asks What are you building? Choose Laravel, Next.js or Node.js, or Static site. Make the project, and Add an app opens with the starter chosen.
In a project you already have, choose Add a service, then App. Under Where's your code?, choose Starter, then the one you want.
Give the app a name, set its limits, and choose Deploy.
The starter becomes the app's first version, marked Starter on its Code card, and builds like any code. Each one's lock file is kept with it, so every first build installs the same packages. A starter can only be an app's first version: when you're ready to change the code, send your own from GitHub or a ZIP file with Send new code.
Start the framework's own way
Each page below begins with the framework's own way to start a project, then shows what to add. Most need only a few lines, and none needs a build script: we read your code and build it.
| Starter | Begins with | What you add | Database |
|---|---|---|---|
| Laravel | laravel new | One line to trust our front door, the pdo_mysql extension, a few variables, a worker and the scheduler | Shared MySQL |
| Next.js | npx create-next-app@latest | Nothing, unless you want to pin the Node.js version | Optional |
| Django | django-admin startproject | gunicorn, WhiteNoise, settings read from variables, and a tanzahost.json | PostgreSQL |
| WordPress | The dashboard | Nothing: we install it for you | Its own, made for you |
How every starter ends
Push the code to a GitHub repository.
On your project's page, in the Add a service card, choose App.
Under Where's your code?, choose GitHub, then your repository and branch, and choose Deploy.
You watch the build line by line. Once the new version answers its health check, it's live on its free address, like duka-7h3k.tanzahost.co, with SSL.
Connecting GitHub needs our GitHub app, which isn't set up yet. Until it is, zip your project folder and choose Upload a ZIP in the same place. Leave out node_modules, vendor and .env.
No starter for your framework?
We also detect Nuxt, Remix, SvelteKit, Astro, Express, Flask, FastAPI, Symfony, plain PHP and static sites. Read Your first deploy and the page for your language: Node.js, Python, PHP or static sites.
