Reseller agreement
DraftIn short: The terms for selling hosting under your own brand: you're the seller to your clients, and you're responsible for them and what they put online.
This is our draft, written from what Tanzahost really does. It isn't in force yet: it takes effect once our lawyer has approved it, and we'll show the date here.
What it is
This agreement is for accounts we've approved to resell. It adds to the terms of service, which still apply to your own account; where the two differ about reselling, this agreement applies.
You are the seller
You sell hosting to your clients under your own name, at your own prices and on your own terms. Your clients are your customers, not ours: we have no contract with them.
- You set your prices and plans, send your clients' invoices and collect their payments.
- Your clients' card payments go into your own payment account. We never hold your clients' money and take no share of it.
- You answer your clients first. Your team can write to us about anything on our side.
You are responsible for your clients
You are responsible for your clients and everything they put online, as you are for your own account. The acceptable use policy applies to every client's projects.
- Your own terms with your clients include rules at least as strict as ours.
- When we receive a report about a client's content, we may pause that client's projects and tell you why. You deal with your client.
- You keep your clients' details correct, so we can reach the right person when something goes wrong.
What you pay us
You pay our normal prices, shown on our pricing page, for everything your clients use, as well as for your own use. They're charged to your saved card like any account's. What your clients pay you doesn't change what you owe us.
If a payment to us fails and stays unpaid, we tell you, and then pause your clients' services until it's paid.
Your brand
Your clients see your name, logo and addresses, never ours. You confirm that you have the right to use the names, logos and domains you give us.
Ending it
You can stop reselling at any time. Before your reseller account closes, your clients move to accounts of their own or to another provider; we give you time to do it, and help.
We may end your reselling for a serious breach of this agreement or the terms of service, and we tell you why.
