Your team
Invite people to your account as Owner, Developer, Billing or Viewer, limit them to chosen projects, and move projects between accounts.

You can invite people to your Tanzahost account, each with a role: Owner, Developer, Billing or Viewer. A Developer can deploy but never sees the wallet; a Billing person sees only the wallet. An owner can also limit a Developer or a Viewer to chosen projects. Everyone logs in with their own login, and every change to the team is in the account's activity.
The four roles
| Role | Can |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything: the people, closing the account, moving and deleting projects, budgets, buying domains, restoring and downloading backups, API tokens and webhooks, and the data download |
| Developer | Works on projects: creates them, their apps, databases, domains, DNS, variables (and shows a value), files, the terminal, deploys and builds. Never the wallet, receipts, usage costs, the activity log, deleting or moving a project, or buying a domain |
| Billing | The wallet only: its balance, top-ups, the spending cap, receipts, statements, usage, codes, and the company details on receipts. No project pages |
| Viewer | Looks at projects, apps, deploys, logs, domains, DNS and the lists of databases, but changes nothing. Never a variable's value, a file's content, a database's rows, the terminal or the wallet |
An account always has at least one owner: the last one can't leave, be removed or get another role. Anyone can open a support ticket.
Invite someone
Asha hires Juma, a freelance developer, to work on her shop.
Open your account's Settings. The People card lists everyone in the account.
Choose Invite someone.
Type the Email address, and choose the Role: Juma gets Developer.
Under Projects, tick the projects the person may reach, or leave every box empty to let them reach every project, new ones included.
Choose Send invitation.
The person gets an email with a link. It works for 7 days, once, and only for someone logged in with that same, verified email address. A forwarded link is no use to anyone else. While it waits, the card shows Waiting: you can Withdraw invitation, and sending it again makes a new link and ends the old one.
Only owners invite people and change their access. An account can have 50 people and waiting invitations in all, and send 20 invitations a day.
Access per project
An owner can limit a Developer or a Viewer to some projects: choose Change access next to them, tick the projects, and Save access. Each project's environments and previews come with it.
Someone limited sees only those projects, in the list, the switcher and the search. They can't create a project, and any other project's page answers "not found". The account's bought domains and its GitHub and Cloudflare connections stay account-wide. Owners and Billing people always reach the whole account.
Remove someone, or leave
Remove next to a person ends their access at once, on every device. You can invite them again later.
Leave this account takes you out of an account you belong to, unless you're its last owner.
Changing a role or the projects works at once too: their next click follows the new access.
Two-step login for everyone
Everyone in every account logs in with two steps: a passkey, or a password and then a code from their authenticator app or by email. There's nothing to switch on. See login security.
One login, many accounts
A person can belong to several accounts: their own, and each client's. Choose the account's name in the top bar to switch between them; each shows your role there. Create another account makes a new account of your own, with its own projects, wallet and people. One person can own 10 accounts.
This is how agencies work: the agency's people join each client's account, and each client's wallet pays for its own projects.
Move a project to another account
When Juma finishes a site for a client, he can hand the whole project over.
Open the project, then its Settings tab.
Under Move to another account, choose the account in Move to, then Move project.
If you're an owner of both accounts, it moves at once. If not, the other account's owners have 7 days to Accept or Decline it, under Projects moving between accounts in their Settings. Until then you can Withdraw the offer.
The project moves with its environments, apps, databases, domains, DNS, logs, builds, deploys, backups, and its variables and passwords. Nothing restarts. From the move on, the new account's wallet pays for it.
What stays behind:
the old account's charges, usage and receipts until the move, and its activity log (both accounts log the move);
domains bought in the old account, which belong to that account;
the GitHub connection: connect the repository again in the new account. Until then the apps keep their running version.
A project can't move while it's being deleted, while its DNS runs through a connected Cloudflare account, when the other account already has a project with its name, or when the other account can't have another project yet.
Only owners move projects. A Developer can't.
A budget for each project
On a project's Settings tab, an owner can set a Monthly budget, in the wallet's currency. At 80% and at 100% of it, the owners and Billing people get an alert. A budget only warns: it never stops your site. To stop spending at a limit, use the spending cap.
Who did what
Every invitation, role change, removal, project move and budget is in the account's Activity, with who did it. Owners see the activity; Developers, Billing people and Viewers don't.
